The Academy of Country Music’s Artist of the Decade is teaming up with seven-time ACM Top Female Vocalist to bring a mega bill to Las Vegas.
George Strait and Reba McEntire will perform at the MGM Grand on Feb 6, 2010.
The two performers have combined worldwide career sales of more than 122 million records and have won virtually every award country music has to offer: Grammys, ACMs, AMAs, CMAs, CRTs, CMTs, you name it.
News of the upcoming concert came Monday night from FrontPage Publicity.
The venue for the Las Vegas show is listed as “MGM” in the release, leaving it unclear where, exactly, they will perform.
The pair is largely expected to return to the site where Strait was crowned ACMA’s Artist of the Decade and perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Meanwhile, sources close to the event indicated late last night that tickets will go on sale on or around Nov. 14.
As of now, the concert has not been added to MGM Mirage’s entertainment calendar and the event is not listed on MGM’s Web site. What’s more, both Strait and McEntire have yet to add the new dates to their online tour listings.
According to the FrontPage release, Strait and McEntire will embark upon a 19-city U.S. tour, starting on Jan. 22 in Baltimore, MD, and concluding on April 22 in Des Moines, IA.
The Las Vegas date will be the sixth stop for the dynamic country duo.
No information concerning ticket prices or sale dates was included in the release, which was e-mailed directly to a Las Vegas Sun entertainment reporter on Monday night.
